About Jessica Nielsen
Jess has been a multidisciplinary freelance artist for over 20 years. She started her art business in 2022 and began honing her established skills in ceramics by learning wheel throwing in April, 2025. She brings a unique blend of artistic vision and entrepreneurial drive to her work.

Her background in psychology and performing arts, paired with an eidetic memory, informs her diverse portfolio, which explores visual storytelling themes ranging from pop culture, to social justice, to the collective unconscious.

Jess sold her first commissioned painting in the summer of 2004 to a patron and friend. Ever since, she’s had the desire to create textiles, paintings, makeup artistry, and pottery. This became an unyielding curiosity to explore her creative side. Drawing on her background in psychology, performing arts, Jungian literature, and incorporating her penchant for the otherworldly, macabre, and mysterious, she produces surreal, dream-like, highly realistic, pieces.
From small sketches to large-scale projects, Jess’s art is a personal reflection. She’s participated in collaborative projects, large murals, and solo exhibitions.

Inspired by her eclectic nature, Jess embraces the quirky and intellectual, creating work that is both whimsical and mysterious.
